AETS, in the framework of the FWC BENEF 2013 – LOT 10, in close cooperation with DG NEAR and the EU Delegations in the Western Balkans, conducted a comprehensive study untitled, “Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in the Western Balkans”. The overall objective of the study was to assess the impact of the SEZs on the local economy of the six Western Balkans economies and to assess their conformity with the evolving EU norms and standards as well as those of the OECD. The project ended in October 2017.
