The Standard and Market Access Programme (SMAP) initiated in August 2013 and ended in August 2017 has the overall objective to enhance market access and competitiveness of Kenya’s plant and animal-based products through greater adoption of relevant international standards and improved regulation and enforcement in Kenya. The expected results of the Final Evaluation consisted in providing an overall independent assessment about the project performance, in identifying the key lessons and proposing practical recommendations.
