Spain, Italy, Netherlands -
Health and Safety
The objective of the present programme is to provide technical training courses on official controls during import of products of non-animal origin in order to improve knowledge and implementation of EU legislation and develop best practices on import controls on certain feed and food of non-animal origin. The training course also aims at harmonising import controls of certain feed and food of non-animal origin to avoid the exposure of the European consumer to excessively high levels of dangerous compounds such as mycotoxins (aflatoxin B1, a very carcinogenic compound) or residues of pesticides (that might exceed the Acute Reference Dose when consumed) or microbiological contamination (e.g. salmonella)
