The training programme aimed to improve food safety and hygiene awareness and the organisation of trainings on food safety and conservation technologies in 11 local communities in Tanintharyi Region and Rakhine State. The trainings include (1) basic food safety and hygiene including to the communities that handle the fish products, (2) food Safety and Hygiene good practices to local fishers, fish collectors and processors as well as market actors and (3) food safety inspection standard procedures to around 20 DOF food safety inspectors.
