The EU considers the Aid Effectiveness Agenda an essential process to ensure greater EU coherence in external action. To facilitate the implementation of this process, the EU launched the Joint Programming (JP) in 2011. Ghana was selected, amongst other, as a potential pilot country for EU JP. The main objective is to facilitate the task of the EU Development Partners (DPs) involved in Joint Programming (JP) in Ghana of preparing Phase II 2017-2020. The preparatory process of Phase II of EU JP in Ghana will include : (a) a joint analysis of national policies and planning reference documents; (b) mapping of EU DPs interventions in the country; (c) consultation with relevant stakeholders in the JP process; (d) draft the EU joint cooperation strategy paper and a common result framework; (e) define a joint Monitoring & Evaluation mechanism; (f) carry out animating workshop(s)/seminars to inform, sensitise and motivate stakeholders to actively engage in the JP process. The technical assistance will consist of two phases, which will be supported by preliminary desk work.
