Following the development of renewable energy in Tunisia, it has become necessary to establish a body to regulate the energy market in Tunisia. AETS was chosen to assist the Government in establishing regulation mechanisms for power generation from renewables. AETS was responsible for: • Assessing the current mechanisms and practices in the energy sector; • Drafting a benchmarking report regarding the feedback on the experience from 6 other countries on regulation; and • Proposing an institutional and regulatory framework to implement such mechanisms.
