The Sustainable Energy Island Initiative (SIDS DOCK) is planning to establish a Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE). The centre will promote sustainable energy development in the Caribbean by improving access to modern services, improving energy security and mitigation of energy related negative environmental externalities. This is expected to be achieved by creating an enabling a renewable energy and energy efficiency regional market and by mitigating various barriers for the dissemination of sustainable energy technologies and services.
