The Programme of ASEAN Regional Integration Support from the EU (ARISE) is expected to support the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to further the ASEAN economic integration process. More specifically, the Programme is expected to enhance the capacities of the AMS in harmonising and implementing policies and regulations in the economic and trade sectors drawing on EU experience(Component I - Strengthening the ASEAN Economic Integration Process), so as to contribute to the realisation of the AEC (Component II - Achieving progress in securing the free flow of goods), whilst enhancing the capacity of the ASEAN Secretariat to support ASEAN Member States in this endeavour (Component III).
