The purpose of the mission was to establish the Environmental Profile of the country. It consisted in establishing an inventory of the environmental issues in Azerbaijan, field per field, and in analysing the impacts of different sectors of interventions on the environment. This cross analysis leaded to recommendations which aim to better integrate environmental aspects into future cooperative actions between the European Union and Azerbaijan.
