This project was part of the BETTER TRAINING FOR SAFER FOOD Programme. In the framework of this programme AETS has been awarded the management of the "Aquaculture Animals Health” project, to organise training activities (3-days sessions) for officers belonging to competent authorities of EU Member States, Candidate Countries and EEA and EFTA countries. The aim of the training was: • Providing a detailed overview and explanation of EU legislation on animal health prevention and control of aquaculture animals; • Harmonize the implementation of the EU legislation in all EU MS and Candidate Countries. The project was structured in two different t courses, for a total of 6 training sessions: • 4 sessions on Fish Health Prevention and Controls • 2 sessions on Molluscs and Crustaceans Health Prevention and Controls A mean of 40 participants were invited to each seminar for a total of 240 trainees over the two years of operation.
