The Comprehensive African Agriculture Development Program (CAADP) provides the continent-wide policy framework for the African agricultural development for food security and nutrition initiatives. The CAADP DPTT (the "Development Partners Group") is a key governance and coordination supporting body of the CAADP processes and institutions, bringing together international organisations and development agencies. The DPTT aims to ensure a fruitful and structured dialogue between donors and the African Union Commission (AUC) and the NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency (NPCA). The global objective of the assignment was to provide technical and analytical support to the European Commission in its function as Chairman of the DPTT from April 2013 for a 24 month period. The specific objectives were to assist the DPTT Chair in order to: - Share information between the members in order to give clarity on their initiatives and improve coordination; - Improve aid effectiveness in the support provided to the CAADP process; - Strengthen donor relations with the AUC, NPCA and other African institutions related to CAADP implementation.
