In 2015, Morocco set up a governance framework of issues related to climate change; This has led to significant progress in the implementation of the Clean Development Mechanism and NAMA, as well as numerous studies and strategies undertaken in relation to the issue of climate change. So, the next step for the Moroccan Government was to define the main lines of its low greenhouse gas emissions development strategies (LEDS). The consortium led by AETS was commissioned to conduct a study that aims to assist Morocco in defining and formulating its development strategy to lower GHG emissions (LEDS). By organising a consultation of stakeholders, this project enabled the the following to be achieved: • A report of the methodological notes and benchmarks • A trend analysis report of GHG emissions for national and sectoral levels • A report of the consultation and training workshops in place as part of this project • An analysis report of scenarios and strategic objectives of the short medium and long term LEDS • A final report of the validated LEDS • A "Summary for Policymakers" of the strategy, in three languages [English-Arabic-French]
