In the framework of the Energy Facility calls for proposals, the West African Power Pool (WAPP) was awarded five grant contracts in order to promote cross-border supply of electricity to rural communities throughout the region. These projects were: 1. Cross-border supply of electricity to rural communities in Togo from Ghana; 2. Cross-border supply of electricity to rural communities in Liberia from Ivory Coast; 3. Cross border supply of electricity to rural communities in Burkina Faso from Ghana; 4. Cross border supply of electricity to rural communities in Northern Togo from Benin; 5. Cross border supply of electricity to rural communities in South Togo from Ghana. AETS was chosen to carry out an evaluation of these projects through an analysis of the aspects of relevance, efficiency, effectiveness, sustainability, impact and any other important topic as described in the EuropeAid guidelines on Evaluation. Following the evaluation conclusions, the Concsultant made recommendations.
