The overall objective of the assignment was to support JASPERS in providing technical assistance services to relevant authorities in Romania and Bulgaria. In this context, the assignment consisted in assisting JASPERS staff in reviewing the environmental and climate change/other natural disasters part of project proposals - in the sectors of drinking water supply and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment and floods prevention and protection - and providing JASPERS with proposals for clear guidance to be given to the countries’ managing authorities, the beneficiaries and their consultants. This guidance aimed at bringing the projects in compliance with the relevant EU acquis and making it mature for EU co-financing.
